ARC Raiders added a really cool team-based puzzle with the Shrouded Sky update: the Controlled Access Zone in Dam Battlegrounds. It's located south of the Power Generation Complex and north of The Breach, and it turns what looks like a normal POI into a high-risk, high-reward activity. If you manage to complete it, your squad can walk away with strong loot, including rare components and valuable blueprints. The catch is that it's built for coordination, and you're usually doing it while AI enemies — and sometimes other raiders — are nearby ARC Raiders Items.

First things first, clear the area. The puzzle is inside a multi-level industrial structure with ladders, catwalks, and roof access points. If you try to solve it while enemies are still roaming, you're asking to get third-partied. Once it's safe, head into the central chamber. You'll know you're in the right place if you see the hanging Rocketeer wreck and the flooded lower level.

The first step is finding the fuel cell. It always spawns on the bottom floor, often underwater near broken ARCs or tucked into corners along the walls. It has a noticeable yellow glow, but it can still be easy to miss if you rush. Grab it carefully and avoid dropping through any gaps while carrying it. Then bring it upstairs and insert it into the empty generator terminal across from the locked security room. Once powered, the lights flicker on and that room unlocks, revealing the first puzzle button.

Now the real coordination starts. There are four buttons total. One is fixed to the left of the main reinforced door with the four overhead lights, but the other three spawn in different spots each raid. Check red pipes, stair railings, metal walkways, concrete blocks, and upper platforms. The key is to locate all four before pressing anything. If someone hits a button too early, the system resets and you have to start over.

The cleanest way to do it is assign one player to each button. Call out positions clearly and make sure everyone is ready. Then do a three-second countdown and press them at the same time. If the timing is off, it won't register. When done correctly, the lights above the door activate and the first reinforced door opens.

Inside, you'll find a small loot room and a broken control panel that controls the final vault door. This panel asks for specific materials, and the requirements are randomized each raid. It might need something simple like Metal Parts, or something rarer like an Industrial Battery or Arc component. Double-check the exact quantities before depositing. When the correct items are inserted, the vault opens and that's where the best rewards are waiting.

It helps to plan roles. One player can carry materials, three can hold buttons, and someone flexible can roam to gather anything missing. If you're worried about losing gear, some squads even run light loadouts so a failed attempt isn't too punishing. PvP adds tension since other players know this spot is valuable. Night Mode helps a lot in this area because it makes enemy movement and ambushes easier to spot in the darker industrial corners.

There have been occasional bugs where the second door doesn't respond properly, but most players report that re-powering or reattempting the sequence fixes it. Recent patches seem to have reduced these issues.

Once you get comfortable with the layout, the puzzle can be solved pretty quickly, but your first few attempts will probably take longer as you learn spawn spots and build team coordination. It pairs especially well with other Dam Battlegrounds activities, so you can combine it with Hurricane cache runs and turn the whole area into a profitable loop buy Pokemon TCG Pocket Items.

The Controlled Access Zone is one of the best examples of how ARC Raiders mixes PvE tension with cooperative mechanics. When it works smoothly, it feels incredibly satisfying. Clear the area, communicate clearly, time the buttons right, and the vault will reward you for it.
