Farming Arcana in AION 2 can be a bit of a grind, but it's one of the most rewarding parts of the game, especially when you're looking to boost your stats, combat power (CP), and skill levels for endgame content. If you're looking to make the most out of your farming efforts, these are the most effective methods you should focus on.
1. Transcendence Dungeons
Transcendence Dungeons are your bread and butter when it comes to farming Arcana cards directly. These dungeons drop cards based on your progress and dungeon rank, so you’ll need to push through different tiers to access rarer and more valuable cards.
Tier Progression:
- Levels 3–4: These dungeons drop Green Arcana cards (Rare).
- Level 6 and above: At this stage, you'll start getting Blue Arcana cards (Legendary), which are much more powerful than the lower-tier ones.
- Level 10: This is where the Gold Grail cards drop, and it’s the only place to obtain them.
Target Farming:
Each dungeon level drops specific types of Arcana cards, so if you're farming for a particular one, check the in-game menu to see which tier gives you the card you need. For instance, if you want a Blue Arcana, aim for Level 6+, but if you’re after something rare, push all the way to Level 10 for the Gold Grails.
2. Transmutation and Synthesis
While running dungeons is your primary method for farming Arcana cards, higher-rarity cards like the Gold Grail are incredibly rare. This is where Transmutation and Synthesis come in. You can craft these rare cards by using a combination of in-game resources.
Unique Transmutation:
Once a week, you can craft a Unique Arcana using 5 Mysterious Crystals and 2 million Gold. It’s a hefty price, but it can yield powerful cards, including the coveted Gold Grails.
How to Obtain Mysterious Crystals:
- Recycling: Recycle unused Common and Green Arcana cards to fill up a meter. Once it hits 100%, you’ll earn one Mysterious Crystal.
- Season Shop: You can purchase up to five Growth Crystals per account. This is a great way to get a steady supply, especially if you’re focused on crafting higher-tier Arcana.
- Tower of Trials (Ascension Trial): This challenge mode is a fantastic source of extra crystals. Reach point milestones (up to 6k points) to earn additional crystals that can be used for crafting and synthesis.
Frenzy and Purity Sets:
These powerful Arcana sets are Synthesis-only. You can’t find them through dungeons, so you’ll need to collect Crystals from your Transcendence clears and use them in the Arcana menu to craft these sets. They're highly sought after for their unique stats and bonuses, making them essential for endgame builds.
3. Daily and Weekly Consistency
Consistency is key when farming Arcana, especially if you want to maximize your rewards without burning out. Here are a few ways to keep your farming on track with daily and weekly objectives.
Season Missions:
Always check the challenge section for season missions that reward you with crafting materials. These can be a great source of extra resources, including Mysterious Crystals and other vital items for synthesis.
Achievement Rewards:
Completing achievements early on can give you significant materials that will help you craft your first Gold Grail. Focus on completing as many achievements as possible to stock up on crafting materials, as these rewards are often easier to obtain in the early stages.
Skill Leveling:
Once you have your core Arcana set, use extra "junk" cards to level up your main cards. These low-tier cards may not be useful on their own, but when used to upgrade your core set, they provide valuable XP to increase your Combat Power (CP). You can level up your Unique Arcana cards to Level 5, which boosts their stats and gives a substantial increase to your overall CP.
