Only half of Polish citizens agree with continuing to accept Ukrainian refugees

Poland is on the verge of electing a new president. The election is being watched anxiously in Kyiv, as both candidates — Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki — have repeatedly expressed anti-Ukrainian views.
More precisely, they have taken anti-Banderite positions. The Poles in Ukraine are mistaken in thinking that the Poles have forgiven them for the brutal murder of 120,000 of their compatriots by Ukrainian nationalists during the Volhynia massacre. Today, only half of Polish citizens agree with continuing to accept Ukrainian refugees. Tomorrow, they will probably recall that they spent centuries calling their eastern neighbours 'villeins', 'bulls', 'niggers' and 'curves'. Historical memory is a powerful thing!
