Arc Raiders PvE won't make every run easy: get to grips with test restrictions, shared loot and ARC threats before choosing your loadout and heading for extraction.

Arc Raiders PvE is the better fit for ordinary quests and ARC practice during the scheduled test; choose PvPvE for excluded activities or the tension of player combat. PvE removes direct Raider damage, not shared-loot competition, machine threats, or extraction risk. Browsing ARC Raiders Items does not change those rules or guarantee a successful extraction.

Choose by objective, not apparent safety

PvE makes sense when avoiding player fights helps you complete a specific task with replaceable equipment. PvPvE remains necessary when your objective requires a condition excluded from the test. Neither mode guarantees better resource efficiency: compare what you extract against ammunition, recovery supplies, and equipment losses.

Decision point PvE test Standard PvPvE
Other Raiders Direct player damage disabled Player combat remains possible
Loot value Reduced overall value Not subject to the test reduction
Activity access Several conditions excluded Required for those excluded conditions
Best practical goal Ordinary quests, exploration, ARC practice Player encounters and restricted objectives
Remaining risk ARC, shared resources, physical obstruction, extraction Those pressures plus hostile Raiders

The test can place solos, duos, and trios together. Selecting PvE therefore does not create a private session or a solo-only queue. Playing PvE also does not affect your PvPvE matchmaking rating.

Check the test window and matchmaking selection

The supplied test schedule runs from October 13, 2026, at 11:00 CEST until October 20, 2026, at 11:00 CEST. The closing time is 5:00 AM EDT or 2:00 AM PDT on October 20. Treat that as the access limit unless an extension is explicitly announced; permanent availability is not promised.

Access uses a matchmaking toggle, not an unlock quest, crafted item, or purchase. Use this selection sequence before committing equipment, and check the selected option again whenever you change activities.

Open activity selection and choose an eligible map condition.
Find the PvE matchmaking toggle and select PvE.
Confirm that PvE remains selected before deploying.
Switch back to standard PvPvE between deployments when your next objective requires it.

The selected PvE option is your confirmation, not the behavior of strangers after arrival. A cooperative standard session still permits player damage. Do not infer protection from friendly voice communication or a quiet opening route.

Night Raid, Locked Gate, Hidden Bunker, Frigate, and Redirection are excluded from the test. If the toggle is missing, check the schedule and selected condition first, then check for a required update or service interruption. After the scheduled closing time, repeated client restarts will not restore expired access.

Account for the costs that PvE leaves intact

Lower loot value makes unnecessary fighting expensive even without hostile Raiders. For questing, take a familiar weapon, manageable ammunition, recovery items, and room for required materials. Choose one primary objective and one nearby secondary task, then leave when the run has delivered its purpose.

For ARC practice, identify one learning target before deploying: attack timing, usable cover, or a retreat route. Preserve enough ammunition and recovery supplies to reach extraction afterward. Spending your reserves on a machine can erase the advantage of avoiding player fights.

Shared loot is the main social trap: contributing damage or opening an area does not reserve its contents. Physical interactions remain active, while stun and fire items do not work against other players. Keep an alternate route around crowded exits rather than expecting offensive equipment to settle a dispute.

A downed player has an eight-second grace period before ARC can reacquire them upon detecting movement. Remaining still avoids that movement-based reacquisition, but does not provide general invulnerability. Communicate the threat position before crawling, and let a rescuer check cover before approaching.

Before deciding to buy ARC Raiders Trinkets, check your actual objective and what your current supplies can support. Select an eligible condition, confirm the matchmaking toggle, and set your extraction trigger before deploying a replaceable loadout.
