Bonestorm crushes Path of Exile 2 endgame bosses with powerful builds and expert strategies delivering unmatched performance and thrilling victories

Path of Exile 2’s endgame is no joke – it’s the kind of place where even the most polished builds can get torn apart. But every now and then, a build shows up that flips the script. Bonestorm is one of those. It’s all about turning boss fights into a messy bone-filled blender, hitting everything around you while still being tough enough to take a beating. The idea’s simple: keep that swirling storm of bone shards going, move when you have to, and make sure nothing survives long enough to hit back. If you’ve ever wanted to walk into an arena and feel like you own the place, this is it – and yes, having a good stash of PoE 2 Currency makes gearing up for it a whole lot easier.

The Bonestorm skill itself is the core of the build. You channel it to create a spinning ring of jagged bone fragments, and the best part is you can move while channeling – a bit slower, sure, but you’re not stuck in one spot. That mobility is huge in PoE 2’s boss fights, where standing still is usually a death sentence. Damage comes from stacking physical scaling, crits, and the Impale mechanic, so every shard hits harder and harder. Pride aura boosts how much physical damage enemies take, Determination cranks up your armour, and a low-level Clarity helps with the mana drain. Between mana leech and flasks, you can keep the skill going without running dry.

Choosing the right ascendancy is key, and for Bonestorm, Monk is the go-to. It’s got nodes that push physical damage, speed up your channeling ticks, and keep you moving fast. You also get easy access to Power and Frenzy charges, which stack even more damage and speed. On top of that, Monk’s defensive perks fit perfectly with the build’s need to stay alive while channelling in the middle of a fight.

Gem links make or break the build. The standard six-link setup is Bonestorm - Impale - Brutality - Pulverise - Increased Critical Damage - Increased Critical Strikes. This combo focuses on pure physical damage and makes the most out of Impale’s stacking effect. For bosses that don’t move much, swapping Pulverise for Concentrated Effect tightens up your damage zone and hits even harder. It’s a quick swap that can mean the difference between a long fight and a health bar disappearing in seconds.

Defence isn’t just a side note here – it’s a core part of why the build works. You’re stacking armour with Determination and gear, capping spell suppression at 100% through passives and item mods, and running a big life pool, often over 6k. The new Dodge Roll mechanic in PoE 2 adds another layer, letting you avoid those big boss slams or projectiles that you just can’t tank. The idea is to take the hits you can handle and dodge the ones you can’t.

When it comes to gear, you’re looking for a balance. A two-handed axe with high physical DPS is ideal, since it gives you big base damage and good implicit stats. Armour should cover life, resists, and spell suppression. Rings and amulets are prime spots for flat physical damage, crit chance, and whatever attributes you’re short on. The trick is not to go all-in on damage and forget your defences – bosses hit hard, and you need to be ready for that.

In actual boss fights, Bonestorm’s playstyle changes depending on what you’re up against. For big, slow bosses, you can just sit in range, keep channelling, and reposition only when something nasty’s coming your way. Impale stacks fast, and the damage snowballs until the fight’s over. Against faster, more mobile bosses, you’ll be dipping in and out – channel for a few seconds when they’re open, roll away when they start winding up, then jump back in. Vulnerability curse via Arcanist Brand adds another layer of pain during those windows. Once you get the rhythm, it’s like dancing around the boss while tearing them apart, and grabbing the right PoE 2 Currency buy can make sure your gear is ready for whatever the endgame throws at you.
