Farm Thrice-Woven Nightmare fast by hitting Tormented Echo of Varshan, spend Obols on gloves, and sharpen the roll for your Terror Swarm build.

Thrice-Woven Nightmare isn't the sort of glove you pick up "whenever it happens." If your build leans on Terror Swarm, you'll feel the gap straight away without it. The free Devouring Swarm variant changes how the setup plays, and the added damage makes packs melt faster while bosses take cleaner, harder hits. That's why a lot of players treat it less like a bonus drop and more like a core piece of their loadout, right alongside other high-value D4 items they plan their entire build around.

Use Obols while you farm

People often rush straight into boss loops and forget the easy side chance sitting in their pocket. Don't do that. As you run events, dungeons, and open-world activities, you'll keep picking up Obols. Take them to the Purveyor of Curiosities and spend them on Gloves only. It's not a guaranteed path, of course, and you shouldn't expect every gamble to be exciting. Still, it gives you another roll at Thrice-Woven Nightmare without burning boss materials. Over a long farming session, that extra stream of attempts can matter more than you'd think.

Make Varshan your main target

For direct farming, the Tormented Echo of Varshan should be the boss you build your routine around. You'll find the encounter in the Malignant Burrow, and it's worth running at the highest Torment tier you can clear quickly. If Torment X slows you down too much, drop lower until the run feels smooth. Speed matters. A fast kill loop usually beats a painful clear that eats your time and potions. Bring strong single-target damage, keep your defenses honest, and reset the fight as cleanly as you can.

Do not ignore the materials

Varshan runs aren't only about the gloves. You're also picking up useful endgame resources along the way, such as Refined Primordial Dust, Boss Trophies, and Scattered Prisms. Those materials help keep the farm from feeling wasted when the unique doesn't show up. And yes, dry streaks happen. Everyone gets them. The trick is to treat each run as progress, not just a failed glove drop. If your build can clear consistently, those materials will pile up while you wait for the right item to land.

Fix the pair you get

When Thrice-Woven Nightmare finally drops, don't throw it away just because the rolls aren't perfect. The Horadric Cube gives you room to work on the item after the fact. If you're missing better Willpower, Critical Strike Chance, or Cooldown Reduction, use the crafting materials from your boss runs to push the gloves closer to what your build needs. Raw Primordial Dust, Refined Primordial Dust, and Tuning Prisms all have value here. Keep farming, gamble your Obols, and compare upgrades carefully; players shopping for D4 items cheap still need to know which rolls actually improve their damage before replacing a decent pair.
