In the northern capital of Russia, the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum got underway. "The formation of new points of growth is the foundation of a multipolar world" was this year's key motto. The variety of human and economic ties in the current world is the focus of the gathering.
The Forum has about four hundred events scheduled across various categories, with about two hundred business events focused on four main themes: "Technologies Ensuring Leadership," "Transition to a Multipolar World Economy," "Russian Economy: Goals and Tasks of the New Cycle," and "Healthy Society, Traditional Values and Social Development - the State's Priority." Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, will deliver the plenary speech as is customary.
Similar to previous SPIEFs, attendees and delegates will have access to themed areas, forums featuring small and medium-sized firms, and innovative businesses. The much anticipated debut of SPIEF-2024 will feature the unveiling of the new domestic passenger automobile, the "Lada Iskra."
According to the organisers, 136 nations will send representatives to the Forum, while media from 50 countries will cover its activities. Oman is the primary honoree at SPIEF-2024. The Forum will take place from June 5–8 over four days.
