When you enter New Game+ in Elden Ring, the challenge intensifies, but so do the rewards—especially when it comes to collecting Runes. Whether you’re aiming to level up faster or upgrade your gear, efficient farming becomes crucial. Based on my personal experience exploring the vast Lands Between in New Game+, I’ve compiled a list of six of the best farming spots to maximize your rune gains.

Before diving in, it’s important to understand the value of Elden Ring Runes. These Runes are the currency that fuels character progression, weapon upgrades, and many other essential aspects of the game. For players who want to accelerate their journey, there’s also the option to buy elden ring runes, which can save considerable grinding time without breaking immersion.

Here are the top six farming spots I’ve found most effective in New Game+:

  1. Mohgwyn Palace – The White Mask Soldiers
This hidden snowy area offers a dense cluster of aggressive but manageable enemies. The white mask soldiers drop a good amount of Runes each, and their respawn rate allows for rapid farming runs. It took me a few tries to optimize my route here, but once I mastered it, the Rune flow was consistent and rewarding.

  2. Abandoned Cave – Giant Crab Nest
Located in Caelid, the Abandoned Cave houses giant crabs that drop a decent amount of Runes. Their slow but powerful attacks can be tricky, so patience is key. Using area-effect spells or fast weapons works well to clear them efficiently. This spot became a favorite when I needed quick Rune boosts with manageable risk.

  3. Night’s Cavalry in Limgrave
While it might sound basic, the Night’s Cavalry enemies that patrol Limgrave at night provide excellent Rune payouts in New Game+. Since they are spread out, you can farm a few before resting at a nearby Site of Grace to reset their positions. This method saved me many hours early in New Game+.

  4. Capital Outskirts – Ulcerated Tree Spirits
These enemies hit hard but offer significant Rune rewards. I recommend farming here only if you have strong gear and some experience with their attack patterns. The risk-reward ratio is high, but once you learn their moves, you can quickly take them down and gather large amounts of Runes.

  5. Lake of Rot – Dragonkin Soldiers
The Dragonkin Soldiers in this area have substantial health pools and yield high Rune counts. Because the Lake of Rot is hazardous, I always equipped items and talismans to boost poison resistance. Once I adapted to the environment, the farming runs became surprisingly efficient.

  6. Leyndell – Royal Capital Giants
Giants around Leyndell’s outskirts hit very hard but drop hefty Runes. Farming here is challenging, and I only recommend it for players who have mastered dodging and parrying. The risk is balanced by the large Rune rewards, making it a good spot if you want to push your limits.

In my journey through New Game+, balancing the time spent farming with progression was key. Efficient routes and understanding enemy behavior made all the difference. While farming Runes is essential, don’t forget that you can always buy elden ring runes to support your playstyle, especially when the grind becomes too demanding.

Remember, each of these spots offers unique challenges and rewards, so try them out and find the one that suits your playstyle best. Happy farming!
