Weapons
Piercing Weapons: Weapons like Bows or Guns are great for Armor Piercing builds, especially those that specialize in projectiles. Look for bows with modifiers that increase projectile damage and critical strike chance.
Weapon Modifiers: Try to acquire a weapon with a high critical strike chance, physical damage, and attack speed to make your Armor Piercing Rounds more potent. Some unique POE 2 weapons are designed to enhance projectile builds, and they can be found through crafting or POE 2 Currency.
Armor
Energy Shield Gear: Your primary focus will be to find gear that boosts your energy shield, particularly helmets, chests, and gloves that grant large bonuses to energy shield values. The Acolyte of Chayula ascendancy provides a lot of synergy with energy shield gear.
Resistance Gear: Ensure your gear provides the necessary elemental resistances to ensure that you're not overwhelmed by elemental damage. Resistances are essential in POE 2, so prioritize resistance mods on your armor pieces.
Accessories
Rings and Amulets: Look for rings and amulets that boost critical strike damage, energy shield, and mana regeneration. These accessories are great for maintaining both your damage output and survivability.
Flasks
Mana Flask: Since Acolyte of Chayula relies heavily on mana regeneration, make sure you have a good mana flask to avoid running out of mana in the heat of battle.
Divine Life Flasks: For survivability, you should always have Divine Life Flasks or Instant Life Flasks to Path of Exile 2 Orbs counteract incoming damage and keep your energy shield topped off.
