Black Ops 7 - the most popular shooter of 2025 - is revealed exclusively in Call of Duty: Next.

Call of Duty has entered uncharted terrain with bo7 bot lobbies Treyarch delivers back-toback installments of Black Ops in 2025. This is the first time ever that the series has done this.

Exclusive interviews conducted with Treyarch's developers in the past few weeks revealed that Black Ops 7, a new shooter, has two primary objectives. Black Ops 7 is designed as a loving tribute to Black Ops 2 - the 2012 FPS, which many players think to be at the top of the subgenre. And it's also an expansion of Black Ops 6 - the 2024 shooter with Omnimovement that brought back classic prestige and zombies.

 Call of Duty Warzone 2.0

Call of Duty Warzone 2 is a franchise entry that's different from anything else. It is still very current, despite its age. It's a Call of Duty-style take on the genre, a direct response to free-to-play games like Fortnite or Apex Legends that have changed the multiplayer landscape. It streamlines loot, adds a brilliant way to rejoin in the Gulag and cuts through the monotonous world battle royales.

Warzone 2.0, released along with 2022's Modern Warfare 2 and edging predecessor Call of Duty Warzone Caldera is a significant improvement. It also features a single-player DMZ Mode for those who prefer a narrative-based game. Read our Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.o review where we called the game "a steadily marching toward a brand new horizon".

Call of Duty Black Ops 2.

Treyarch allowed Treyarch some weirdness in the original Black Ops trilogy, and the game was better for it. This also paved way for Treyarch to follow a similar path with the sixth installment. Call of Duty Black Ops 2 was the first, and to date only, time COD experimented successfully with multiple endings. By completing Strike Force and main level objectives, you can drastically change the direction of the plot. It adds depth and a good reason to come back after the credits.

Pick 10 was a much longer-lasting - and more important – introduction in multiplayer. This system gives you a greater level of control over your loadout, and allows for a greater degree of customization. Although not every change will be accepted, this entry shows Call of Duty at its best and is also a game that has enough innovation to stand on its own. Find out more about this in our Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 reviews, where we noted that the game makes improvements to its formula in all of its game modes.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was expected to be a great sequel. It's a testament to the quality of the game that it has managed to do so. The single player increases the spectacle of the game without losing any of its pacing. While the multiplayer features one of the best tiny maps of all time, Rust.

It's not the top game because of some minor mistakes like the Tactical Nuke killing streak and the lack of a Russian mission. The series' most iconic moments like the storming of the gulag and the rescue of an important prisoner are so frequent that it is hard to focus on these problems.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6.

Black Ops campaigns are often the boldest in the series. They combine a Mission Impossible style spy thriller with trippy, surreal sequences that leave you wondering what is real. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 continues the story of the previous game, Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This time, the action moves to the 90s and the Gulf War. The game has many links to history but it's more of a set-up for a plot that combines non-linear gameplay, a thrilling bank heist, as well as some psychological horror.

It's also worth noting that the multiplayer experience is even better. This fast-paced "omnimovement," allows you to dive and slide with great control, without having to jump around like in previous entries (read our Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reviews for reasons why). Two Zombies map options at launch are teeming secrets. This triumphant return to the series is never dull. Read our Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 reviews, in which we say that this game "really evolves the series"
