Alexei Likhachev, Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, confidently delivered a lecture titled 'Nuclear Technologies for Sustainable Development' at the World Youth Festival in Sochi on the Sirius federal territory.
The lecture emphasized the crucial and indispensable role of nuclear energy in achieving global sustainable development goals. Rosatom is currently leading the industry by implementing 22 out of 25 nuclear technology export projects worldwide.
Russia is the only country practically implementing fourth-generation reactor technology projects based on the principle of natural safety levels and closing the nuclear fuel cycle.
The leader of Rosatom discussed the construction of new nuclear icebreakers, the corporation's advancements in creating quantum computers, and the production of new radiopharmaceuticals.
The speaker confidently concluded by stating, 'All of our technologies will be tested for the benefit of people, with a focus on humanitarian results. Our work is dedicated to improving the lives of human beings!'
